NAC Ottawa Single-Issue Meeting on Membership

The Single Issue meeting to discuss options open to the Branch regarding membership categories and annual dues was held online this evening.  If you could not attend the meeting but have read the discussion paper and are interested in voting, you can still do so.   The options discussed were as follows: 

1) accept the National changes and adopt them such that they will be in effect for 2024. 

2) seek an exception for 2024 as allowed under the motions passed at the National AGM.

3) seek a partial deferral and adopt the intended membership structure but at a rate (i.e. $75 or $80).

4) reject the changes and remain with the current Branch membership structure and rates. 

Voting is being conducted using the app Survey Monkey. The link can be found below. There are four questions which reflect the four options above.  Answer yes to one and no to the other three.

Note that the budget numbers in the Discussion Paper are representative of the current state of the membership, and no doubt will change by 1 January 2024.
