Our guest speaker for October will be Commander Corey L. E. Gleason MMM, CD. Cdr Gleason is currently the Commander of Sea Training for Patrol Vessels. Prior to taking up this appointment, Cdr Gleason was the Commanding Officer of HMCS Harry DeWolf, a post that he held for seven years (2015-2022). He stood by the ship during its construction and trials, and was responsible for crew training. He commanded the ship following commissioning, and conducted the first operational patrols, including a circumnavigation of North America. Cdr Gleason will speak to us about his experiences and lessons learned about bringing a new class of ship into service. A copy of Cdr Gleason's biograpy is available here.
