The Ottawa Branch commemorated the 80th anniversary of the end of the Battle of the Atlantic this year with a special reception - an evening function on 29 April at the historic and elegant venue of the RIDEAU CLUB. It was a magnificent turnout of members and partners, friends, guests, and colleagues in the RCN, Industry, Government and the maritime security community and a large contingent of Naval Cadets from RMC to recognize the service and sacrifice of our Sailors, Airmen, and the Merchant Marine in the longest battle of World War II - and a defining demonstration of Canada's role in maritime security.  

Many thanks to all who were able to join us for this occasion and remember them.  A particular shout out to our many generous sponsors who facilitated this event, and contributed significantly to the NAC mission to advocate for the ongoing need for strength in and commitment to this capability in the years ahead.
