The closure of HMCS Bytown at 78 Lisgar Street means that we must move the contents of the MacK Lynch Library into temporary storage.
Josh Barber is leading the charge to get this event organized. The moving date has been established as Tuesday 28 June starting at 0930. The library collection consists of some 1100 books and materials.
We estimate that we will need approximately 70 boxes, and on completion of the move they will be kept in storage at HMCS CARLETON. Wine or liquor boxes, or banker's boxes are considered most suitable, due to their size and durability. Vehicles (trucks/SUVs) will also be required to transport the books to CARLETON.
Those who can volunteer to assist with this undertaking, please bring as many (small) boxes as you can round up. With enough volunteers we should have completed the transfer by noon. Please note also that the elevator at the old mess is now U/S so be prepared for a stairmaster workout!
